Headmistress Ann stands as an icon in Danish burlesque, both as the owner and creator of Sweet Burlesque, and has greatly shaped the burlesque scene as we know it today.

With an impressive memory, she remembers every student’s name and creates a personal and inclusive environment in her classes. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious, fostering an atmosphere of joy and motivation among her students.

Headmistress Ann is not only a skilled performer but also a dedicated choreographer. Her stage presence is captivating, and she is known for her detailed techniques and high-energy performances. But it’s her warm and welcoming nature that truly stands out among her students. Her enthusiastic mood, infectious smile, and empathy make her a beloved mentor and leader.

With a unique ability to involve everyone and make them feel welcome, Headmistress Ann has created a true family at Sweet Burlesque. Her passion for facial expressions and body language shines through in her creative routines, and as a former trained physiotherapist, she uses her expertise to enhance her students’ body awareness through dance.

As the owner of Sweet Burlesque, Headmistress Ann has developed a unique concept that promotes body positivity, self-confidence, and joy through training. She is a true inspiration and mentor for everyone who steps into the Sweet Burlesque family.

uyen

Styles: Hip Hop, Waacking, Heels, Bachata

Uyen is a versatile professional dancer and performer with a background in Hip Hop. Over time, she has found her passion in Waacking, Heels, and Bachata. She loves combining her versatility with her natural femininity in dance.

With 21 years of dance experience and 15 years of teaching both in Denmark and internationally, Uyen has explored both the underground and commercial dance worlds. She has been an active battle dancer, performed in the street version of The Nutcracker, toured Denmark with Infernal, choreographed for Scarlet Pleasure, and represented Australia in both Eurovision and World Pride. She has also appeared in countless commercials and participated in various Danish awards and live TV shows.

As a dancer, her charismatic feature is her unique and powerful expression.

Uyen will teach Sassy in Stilettos & Fierce & Flirtatious.

thomas mark

Styles: Ballet, Jazz, Show Dance

Thomas Mark is a professional dancer and instructor with over 10 years of experience on international stages. Originally from Northern Denmark, he started his dance career at an early age with ballet and jazz. At 19, he was accepted into The Urdang Academy in London, where he completed his three-year dance education in 2015.

Throughout his career, Thomas has performed in France, England, Spain, Germany, and Denmark. He has worked as a show dancer at Disneyland Paris, appeared in musicals at Det Ny Teater, and performed in cabaret shows such as La Nouvelle Eve Paris and Benidorm Palace Spain. He has also toured Germany with A Musical Christmas, worked on the cruise ship MS Artania, and participated in family shows in England.

Alongside his performance career, Thomas has been teaching ballet and jazz for the past six years. He has taught at Sceneindgangen, Eventyrteatret, USG, FOF, and Studio OZ in Spain. In 2021, he started his own company, Adv/Pro Ballet & Jazz CPH, creating training opportunities for professional and advanced dancers in Copenhagen.

As an instructor, Thomas combines his experience from both Denmark and abroad. Regardless of level, his goal is to strengthen his students' independence and self-confidence, encouraging them to challenge themselves and take the lead.

Thomas Mark will teach Jazz Technique, Ballet Foundation, Jazz-lesque, CabaTease, & Flexibility.

Miss Maia is not just a dance instructor; she is the ultimate motivator and organizer who brings joy and energy to every class. Her ability to get everyone involved and feel included is truly exceptional.

In her classes, Miss Maia focuses on the classic burlesque style, using props such as boas and gloves to enhance her students' body awareness and expression. Her classes are not only filled with a feel-good atmosphere but also with a sense of body love and empowerment, where every student is encouraged to shine.

As a master of facial expressions and classic burlesque, Miss Maia brings depth and charm to her choreography. Her passion for dance shines through, and she inspires and motivates her students to strive for their best.

Meet Miss Agi, the burlesque and dancehall energy bunny! She's been dancing since she was 3, and with nearly 10 years of experience teaching and choreographing, she's got moves that will wake up booty shaking goddess in you. When Caribbean music plays, her happy feet and hips just can't stay still. Agi's classes are a whirlwind of high energy, silliness, and empowering attitude. She's dedicated to making every session fun, sassy, and as hot as a tropical tease. Her passion for dance is infectious, and she loves sharing it with everyone.

Miss Mie is a radiant sunshine with a huge smile on her face and incredible flexibility, effortlessly dropping into a split whenever the chance arises. Her passion for dance is evident in everything she does.

With two dance qualifications under her belt, Mie boasts an impressive breadth in her repertoire. One qualification focuses on classical styles such as contemporary/modern, ballet, and jazz, while the other covers underground styles like hip hop, choreography, and commercial. This makes her a true queen at expressing different sides of herself through dance, and in her classes, she works with the full spectrum of who we each can be.

Mie is not only a skilled dancer and instructor but also a warm-hearted and quirky soul who loves to share her joy of dance with others. Her laughter is infectious, and it's impossible not to be swept away by her optimism and energy. In a class with Mie, you are guaranteed a lot of fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments, and you'll feel inspired to let go and hit the dance floor alongside her.

With years of experience in teaching music, dance, and creative work, Miss Christina Mai brings a deep understanding of the learning process to her classes. She enjoys blending classical choreography with improvisation and exploring old-school dance styles.
